Workability
Thermally modified teak wood offers exceptional workability, akin to the ease reported by leading exotic wood dealers in India for walnut wood, provided its grain is uniform and straight. However, care may be needed when planing surfaces with figured or irregular grain patterns to avoid tearout. It readily accepts binding agents, stains, and finishes, achieving a smooth and polished appearance.

The species is not currently listed in the CITES Appendices or the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, reflecting its managed availability and responsible harvesting practices.
