The Foundation of Excellence
What are Wood Logs?
BFP wood log, carefully selected trees are harvested using sustainable practices, ensuring forest regeneration. Once felled, logs are transported to sawmills where they’re debarked and cut into various dimensions. The raw wood then undergoes a crucial drying process, either through air-drying or kiln-drying, to achieve optimal moisture content. This step prevents warping and increases durability. Our team then grades and sorts the wood based on quality and intended use.Our premium log is ideal for a wide range of construction applications. From heavy-duty industrial construction to delicate woodworking projects, BFP wood log provides the perfect balance of strength, beauty, and versatility for any building need.

Wood Logs FAQs
What types of wood logs does BFP supply in India?
BFP supplies a wide range of wood logs including teak wood logs, oak, walnut, ash, beech, pine, and more, sourced from over 25 countries and available in multiple grades and dimensions.
Are BFP's wood logs FSC®-certified?
Yes. All timber imported by BFP carries FSC® Chain of Custody certification, confirming responsible sourcing from legally harvested, sustainably managed forests.
What is the difference between air-dried and kiln-dried wood logs?
Air-dried logs are dried naturally over time, while kiln-dried (KD) logs are dried in controlled ovens to a specific moisture content, typically 8–12%. KD wood logs are more dimensionally stable, process faster, and are preferred for furniture and flooring production.
Why are teak wood logs considered premium timber?
Teak wood logs contain natural silica and oils that make the wood highly resistant to water, insects, and decay. This makes teak one of the most durable and versatile species for furniture, flooring, marine applications, and outdoor use.
Can BFP supply wood logs in bulk quantities?
Yes. BFP is set up for large-volume import and supply. With direct relationships with sawmills and exporters across 25+ origins, we can fulfil bulk orders of both common and rare species on a consistent basis. Contact our team to discuss your volume requirements.
