What is Cherry Wood?

Cherry wood, a smooth-grained, reddish-brown hardwood from the American Black Cherry fruit tree, is unquestionably our best-selling product. Cherry wood is well-known among furniture connoisseurs,  exotic wood suppliers in India, and woodworkers for its color and aging process.

Brazilian cherry wood ranges in color from deep red to reddish brown, and it gets darker as it ages and is exposed to light. The sapwood, on the other hand, is creamy white. The wood has a straight grain and a fine, consistent, satiny, and smooth texture, and it may naturally have little pockets of gum and brown pith flakes.

Cherry veneer wood is very uncommon among exotic wood suppliers in India in that it is not collected as frequently as other types of wood. It is also less expensive than walnut wood and easier to deal with than maple or oak. Cherry is one of the most adaptable woods, with a variety of physical qualities that make it useful in a variety of applications.

Workability

Cherry makes for a great, smooth finish after being sanded and stained. It is also easy to machine, nail, and glue well, according to wood suppliers in India. After kiln drying, it shrinks slightly and dries pretty quickly, but it retains its dimensions well.

Sustainability

The IUCN has classified this wood species as a species of least concern even though it is not included in the CITES Appendices.
