What is Red Oak Wood?

One of the species that is most frequently seen in American hardwoods is raw red oak wood, which is used for a wide range of applications.

Red Oak Wood has white to light brown sapwood and pinkish-reddish brown heart wood. It has a medium bending strength, is stiff, and is hard and hefty. White oak-like in overall look, the wood has a less distinct form because of the smaller rays. Most of the wood has a straight grain and a gritty feel. According to the best exotic wood dealers in India, it is most commonly found in kitchen cabinets, flooring, moulding, doors, architectural mill work, furniture, caskets, and paneling.

Red oaks typically have light brown sapwood and pinkish to reddish brown heartwood, though not always. The sapwood and heartwood have quite pronounced color differences. Natural red oak wood typically have straight-grained, coarse-textured wood as supplied by the best exotic wood suppliers in India.
