Which type of sawn timber does BFP sell?

BFP provides an array of sawn wood timber, high quality hardwoods, like teak sawn timber, oak, walnut, ash and beech, and softwoods, e.g. pine and spruce. It has various grades, finishes, and sizes of a wide range of materials which can be used in different applications.

Is your saw wood sustainable?

Yes. The wood BFP sawn wood is all cut in certified and well managed forests and is in line with the FSC ® Chain of Custody which is both environmentally responsible and traceable.

What is the difference between kiln-dried and air-dried timber?

To attain consistency in moisture content (usually 8-12%), controlled conditions are subjected to kiln-dried timber, leading to the enhancement of dimensional stability, shrinkage and performance. Timber dries in the air and is automatically in-season and can be used where the slight change in the amount of moisture in the air would not be a problem.

Do you provide special sizes and specifications?

Yes. BFP offers sawn timber in a large variety of standard and custom sizes, with specific thickness, width, and lengths, depending on the projects.
